Veneers
What is a Dental Veneer?
Traditional veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted from tooth-colored porcelain to cover the front side of teeth. Veneers are the permanent way to get the smile you always wanted. You can enjoy the durability, strength and beauty that only porcelain can provide.

What will Dental Veneers do for me?
Dental veneers are ideal for teeth that are too small, too big or have uneven surfaces. It is very common for people to have imperfect teeth--teeth that are oddly shaped, chipped, crooked, have small holes in them, or have an otherwise imperfect appearance. Veneers solve such irregularities and create a durable and pleasing smile.

Why not just get a Full-Coverage Dental Restoration?
A full-coverage restoration, or Dental Crown, is a solution for a tooth that is in need of treatment to achieve oral health. If your corrective needs are purely esthetic and it is determined that your teeth are otherwise healthy, a Dental Veneer will correct the problem with minimal preparation to the tooth and allow you to retain more of your natural, healthy tooth structure.

How is a Dental Veneer made?
First, we take a model impression of your teeth, and you and your dentist select a porcelain shade that closely matches the adjacent teeth. Then, we send the impressions to our dental lab so they can craft perfectly fitted veneers for a beautiful radiant smile. In two to three weeks, you will return to our office for about one hour to have your new veneers placed over your existing teeth.

If I decide I don’t like my Veneers, can I have them taken off?
You should know that the application of traditional veneers is usually an irreversible process, because it's necessary to remove a small amount of enamel from your teeth to accommodate the shell. We also offer a newer type of veneer, called LUMINEERS®, that may not require enamel to be removed from the teeth. We’ll be happy to discuss treatment options with you.
